Duncan CRE Helps Secure Campus for Grace James Academy

Duncan Commercial Real Estate is proud to have played a role in identifying the future home of Grace James Academy, a Jefferson County Public Schools middle and high school focused on empowering young women through an innovative STEM-centered education.

Suzanne Cheek and Will Duncan worked with JCPS to identify and acquire approximately 17 acres at 5127 and 5500 Terry Road in southwest Louisville. The property will provide Grace James Academy with a permanent campus after operating from its current location on West Broadway.

The project has now advanced into the design phase. Plans call for a new school serving approximately 1,050 students in grades 6–12, along with new athletic facilities. Grace James students and administrators have also contributed to the planning process, helping establish priorities for flexible, collaborative and engaging learning environments.

While construction has not yet begun, the continued progress represents an important step toward creating a permanent home for the academy and a significant investment in the Terry Road corridor.
